How to set up the Jurni MCP Connector

Connect your AI assistant to Jurni and build agentic shopping journeys directly from a chat conversation. Once connected, you can ask your AI assistant to analyze performance, suggest improvements, and generate new agentic shopping journeys from existing templates, all without leaving the chat.

This guide uses Claude as an example, but Jurni's MCP server can be used with other AI assistants and tools that support MCP.

Before you start

You'll need access to an AI assistant that supports MCP and permission to add a custom connector or MCP server.

To connect to Jurni, use:

https://api.getjurni.ai/api/mcp

The steps below show how to set this up in Claude. Setup may look slightly different in other MCP-compatible tools.

Step 1: Open your connector settings

In Claude:

  1. Go to Settings

  2. Select Connectors

Step 2: Add Jurni as a custom connector

Your Claude settings may show one of two layouts, depending on your account's rollout stage:

  • New layout: Select Customize, then Add custom connector

  • Older layout: Select Add custom connector directly

Either path leads to the same next step.

Step 3: Connect to Jurni

  1. Name the connector Jurni

  2. Enter the Jurni MCP server URL: https://api.getjurni.ai/api/mcp

  3. Select Add

You'll be prompted to authorize the connection. Approve it to finish setup.

Tip: If a permissions prompt appears while you're chatting later, select Always allow. This should only be required the first time.

Step 4: Start building in chat

With Jurni connected, you can use your AI assistant to work with your Jurni data and create agentic shopping journeys.

For example, in Claude:

  1. Open a new chat

  2. Ask: "Give me three suggestions to optimize my top-performing agentic shopping journey."

  3. Review the suggestions

  4. Choose an option, for example: "Let's go with option two. Build a new agentic shopping journey based on an existing template."

  5. Answer any follow-up questions, such as which template and entry source to use

  6. The assistant will generate the new journey in Jurni

Step 5: Review and publish in Jurni

  1. In Jurni, go to Agentic shopping journeys

  2. Select Drafts

  3. Open the journey your AI assistant created

  4. Edit titles, subtitles, or any other details as needed

  5. Select Publish when you're ready to go live

Using an AI assistant other than Claude?

Claude is just one example. If your AI assistant or tool supports MCP, connect it to the Jurni MCP server using:

The setup steps may differ depending on the tool, but the Jurni MCP server URL remains the same.
